Delinting cotton seed via mechanic process. |
Cotton Seed Delinting Process:
-
Seed Delivery and Initial Cleaning:
- Cotton seeds are delivered into the seed funnel, preparing them for the delinting process.
- Feeding rollers, powered by an automatic control motor, rotate face-to-face in the funnel to guide the seeds.
- The cotton seeds then drop onto a sliding plate and enter the processing box.
- Iron foreign matter is attracted and removed by a magnet on the back of the sliding plate, preventing it from damaging the saw blades.
-
Formation of Cotton Seed Rolls:
- The clean cotton seeds enter the processing box, where the action of the seed stirring roller and the saw blades causes the seeds to form seed rolls.
- This action creates a linear velocity difference between the cotton seed rolls and the saw blades, which is crucial for the delinting process.
-
Delinting Process:
- The cotton seeds, hooked by the saw blades, move toward the delinting processing point, where they are separated from the cotton linters.
- The separated linters are carried by the saw blades into the cotton brushing system.
-
Separation of Clean Cotton Seeds and Linter:
- The cotton seeds, having less adhesion to the saw blades, are discharged from the system along the rib frame.
- The separated linter is brushed off from the saw blades, either by a brush or airflow, and sent to the linter condenser for baling.
-
Removal of Foreign Matter:
- Foreign matter, which has a much greater centrifugal force than the linter, is separated from the linters using an impurity cutting knife.
- This foreign matter is then removed from the system by the foreign matter conveyer distributor.
